Day 3, Session A warm-up
"Best practices":
Collaboration/cooperative learning/group work: Especially helpful as class sizes inch up. Groups/teams of 3 or 4 students are best. This allows all to participate and also allows work to happen when one person is absent.
What seems to work best is an activity that requires a product at the end, a product that only comes together if all in the group participate. So a collaborative document, a web site, etc.
Second best might be an exploratory activity in which each person must discover something new to share and/or teach to the others in the group. (or use what was created to teach another group)
How might the above be embedded in an audio tour?
How might we make the tour & activities learner-centered?
